Conservation Easement Workshop

UC Cooperative Extension is hosting a Conservation Easement Workshop on November 6 in Calpine. The workshop is designed for ranchers, landowners, conservation organization staff and government agency staff. The informational event will feature speakers from funding agencies, Department of Conservation and the Natural Resources Conservation Service, to discuss programs and requirements. The California Rangeland Trust and the Feather River Land Trust will also present on their conservation easement models and projects. Lastly, ranchers will share their perspectives and experiences in negotiating easements and operating under the deeded restrictions of a conservation easement.
